RIPI Scientist Bags INEF Allameh Tabatabaei Award
TEHRAN Nov. 23 (RIPI) -- Alimorad Rashidi, head of the Nanotechnology Research Campus of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI), was selected as an elite Iranian scientist by Iran's National Elites Foundation (INEF) and took home the foundation's Allameh Tabatabaei Award .
A ceremony was mounted at INEF where Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi, and the INEF managing director attended the event on November 15.
INEF granted Dr. Rashidi the award for his scientific endeavors and achievements. The RIPI scientist has 13 patented inventions in the US and Europe besides having registered 35 patents for his inventions in Iran. He has also developed 8 industrial-scale technologies and has published 240 articles in leading national and international scientific journals.
Rashidi also won the top Iranian researcher in nanotechnology in 2008 and got the country's best petroleum researcher in 2013.
This was the 4th Allameh Award granted by INEF since 2011.
